At the United Capital Davidson office, previously Davidson Capital, we provide comprehensive wealth management services that coordinate your financial planning, investment management, and tax planning. Stan Dyl, CPA

Managing Director


With more than 30 years of experience guiding clients through complex financial situations, Stan has seen the value of developing comprehensive plans that help clients achieve their life goals. He began his career as a senior tax consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he developed tax planning strategies for individuals, partnerships, and corporations. With a diverse background in financial, tax, and investment planning, Stan founded Davidson Capital in 1996 to provide comprehensive wealth management services to individuals, families, trusts, and corporations. Having witnessed the drawbacks of sales oriented financial service models, Stan envisioned an independent firm where the client would always come first. He is a Certified Public Accountant and serves as the Treasurer for the Charlotte Economics Club and is involved with Our Town's Habitat for Humanity. Outside of work Stan enjoys reading, kayaking and biking at the Carolina coast, traveling, and skiing with his wife and two daughters.


Kimberly Chmielewski

Director of Operations


Kimberly brings a diverse financial background with more than 20 years of banking and financial services experience to Davidson Capital, now United Capital Davidson.  After starting her career in the mid 90's with one of the largest retail banking institutions, it didn't take long for Kimberly to find her niche within the wealth management arena. Kimberly enjoys working with clients to help ensure they achieve their financial goals and are actively living the life they imagined.  She has a breadth of experience and knowledge in investor relations, operations and on-boarding.  Kimberly managed a boutique wealth management practice in Sarasota, Florida before relocating to the Lake Norman area with her family in early 2017.  Kimberly is an avid tennis player and when she's not on the court, she enjoys reading, hiking and spending time at her mountain home with her husband, two children and daughter-in-law.


Taylor Wood

Independent Relationship Manager


Taylor assists with retirement planning, client service and other facets of the financial planning process. Taylor graduated from the University of Georgia where she received a bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning. Outside of work, Taylor enjoys reading, hiking, trying out new restaurants and live music.

Began Career in 2005

Peter is a member of the United Capital investment management team, where he serves as an IM Advocate for over twenty offices. With an extensive background in finance and operational management, he applies his skills to educating regional offices on using the United Capital Investment Platform and associated software tools efficiently and effectively.   

Previously, he served as Director of Operations (DOO) at United Capital’s North Wales office where he oversaw daily operations of the local office, strategic business development and investment management. He also served as relationship manager for institutional and investment focused clients and created client correspondence for quarterly market updates and impacts on local investment models. He served as a member of the Investment Platform Advisory Council, which was tasked with providing oversight of and feedback on United Capital’s national investment platform.

Previously, Peter progressively served as Financial Analyst, Executive Financial Analyst, and then DOO at First Senior Financial Group, an insurance firm focused on principal protection and estate creation with $1.8 billion in assets. As DOO, he oversaw daily operations of the company and strategic business  development and was credited with increasing efficiency by over 50% for both advisors and staff.

Earlier, Peter worked at Penn Street Funds, a start–up mutual fund company specializing in quantitative strategies that focused on large–cap companies.  The last fund they launched eventually sold to MFS and became the MFS Sector Rotation Fund.

Peter began his career in 2005 at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner and Smith where he graduated out of their POA program as a financial advisor in their Princeton, NJ office.
