Laura Chernova, CFP®MANAGING DIRECTOR
Laura Chernova began her career in Wealth Management in 1994 at a prominent and growing San Francisco firm, where she was a key contributor in the firm's growth from $90 million to nearly $2 billion of assets under management. Laura served on the firm's Investment Management Committee and directed a portfolio of over 80 clients ranging in size from $1 million to over $30 million of assets under management.
In 2007, Laura accepted the invitation of a national investment firm to direct its newly acquired San Francisco subsidiary, overseeing the management of over $100 million in assets under management for its 60 clients. Despite difficult market conditions, Laura was able to retain all clients through the transition, as well as increase the client base of the company and raise assets under management by over 10 percent a year.
In search of a more comprehensive solution for her clients and investment philosophies that more closely aligned with her own, Laura joined United Capital in 2011. United Capital was founded under the guiding principles that we help our clients discover clarity about their future, confidence about what they have already achieved and the capability to achieve even greater goals.
