Emily C. Sanders, CPA®, is a Managing Director of the United Capital Atlanta office. In 2009 she was named one of the “Top 50 Women in Wealth Management” in the U.S. by Wealth Manager magazine. Emily graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA degree in International Economics and from New York University with an MBA in Accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA®) and a Certified Cash Manager (CCM®), as well as FINRA Series 65 licensed. In 2013 she won a national stock picking competition for Portfolios with Purpose, benefiting the Atlanta Women's Foundation.
Emily currently serves on the Managing Directors' Advisory Council for United Capital and was awarded "Exceptional Contributor" in 2014. Prior to founding the United Capital Atlanta office, formerly Sanders Financial Management, Inc., Ms. Sanders served as Assistant Treasurer at BellSouth Corporation for nine years where she and her staff of fourteen managed $1 billion in corporate and pension fixed income investments, as well as the International Finance group handling foreign exchange, mergers and acquisitions and global banking. She has visited 40 countries and was an internal auditor in South Africa.
From 1977 to 1985, Ms. Sanders was employed in various financial management and budget capacities by The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta and Charter Publishing Company in New York City, and was a financial consultant to The Home Depot in 1995. Originally from Long Island, New York, Ms. Sanders is steeped in a healthcare background as the daughter of a physician and a hospital administrator. Her interest in elder care issues led to the attainment of the Registered Financial Gerontologist (RFG) designation. Ms. Sanders is an international speaker and has been quoted in numerous publications including The Wall Street Journal, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Atlanta Business Chronicle, Entrepreneur Magazine, Financial Planning, CNN and more. Additionally, Ms. Sanders has appeared on Bloomberg TV, CNBC Worldwide Exchange and Closing Bell, and as a Guest Host on CNBC Europe TV.
Ms. Sanders is a member of the AICPA, and serves on the Georgia Society of CPA's Leadership Council where she received their Distinguished Committee Chair award for leadership of the Committee on Financial Literacy. She also serves on the Endowment Board of the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, and co-chairs United Capital's Women's Initiative.
A resident of Atlanta for 34 years, Ms. Sanders and her husband Jon Margolis live in Brookhaven and have three adult children (two daughters and a son) and two grandchildren. She is a 1994 graduate of the Leadership Atlanta program. In her spare time she enjoys international travel, reading biographies, visiting art museums, and being involved with The Atlanta International School's Alumni Parent Group.

Owen H. Malcolm, CFP®, is a Managing Director of the Atlanta office. A native of Ocala, Florida, Mr. Malcolm graduated Magna Cum Laude from Berry College with a BS degree in Finance and from Kennesaw State University with an MBA in Entrepreneurship. Prior to joining the Atlanta office, he was a Financial Analyst for IBM Global Financing, then a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones Investments, starting his own branch office in Marietta, Georgia. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and FINRA Series 65 licensed.
Mr. Malcolm is a graduate of the 2007 class of Leadership Gwinnett, as well as the inaugural class of L.E.A.D. Atlanta, a leadership development program for emerging young professionals sponsored by Leadership Atlanta. He is also a member of the Berry College Planned Giving Council. Mr. Malcolm serves on the Board of Good Samaritan Health Center of Gwinnett, a non-profit providing affordable, high-quality health services to the uninsured and working poor of Gwinnett and surrounding counties. He was also honored in 2005 by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as one of the Top 40 Under 40 "Up and Comers."

He was also featured in Investment Advisor's 2005 “New Faces of Planning” cover story.
Mr. Malcolm has been interested in the financial markets since age 12, when he visited a financial planner with his parents and was intrigued by the planner's knowledge and dedication to helping clients. He is a devoted family man who enjoys spending time with his wife, Tina, and their four children at their home in Johns Creek. An avid photographer, he participates in sports and is an active member of the Old Peachtree Presbyterian Church, where he serves in a variety of roles.
Senior Director of Operations
Patty Clemmons, CFA®, CPA®, serves as the Senior Director of Operations for the Atlanta office. Ms. Clemmons graduated with High Honors from the University of Florida with a BS degree in Accounting. She is a member of the CFA® Institute and the AICPA. Ms. Clemmons has also completed Florida State University’s Certificate of Personal Financial Planning program and is FINRA Series 65 licensed.
Prior to joining the Atlanta office, Ms. Clemmons held various positions in Treasury and Corporate Finance at BellSouth Corporation, including Investment Manager for both corporate and short-term pension cash. Ms. Clemmons’ 22 year career at BellSouth was preceded by three years in public accounting.
Ms. Clemmons lives in Lawrenceville with her husband, Eric. In her spare time she enjoys walking and reading.
Melissa Hallmark serves as a Wealth Manager for the Atlanta office. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA degree in Finance, and received her MBA in Personal Financial Planning from Georgia State University. Ms. Hallmark is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and FINRA Series 65 licensed.
Ms. Hallmark is a member of the Terry College of Business Alumni Association and the Georgia State University Personal Financial Planning Alumni Club as well as the Atlanta Track Club.
Before realizing her desire to become a financial planner, Ms. Hallmark worked in International Logistics, serving as President and Vice President of the Atlanta Maritime Association. When she isn't working, Melissa enjoys traveling, running, spending time with her friends and family, reading and scuba diving.
Stuart McLemore serves as a Relationship Manager for the Atlanta office. He received his MBA in Finance from Georgia State University, and continued his studies there to receive his Graduate Certificate in Personal Financial Planning. He also holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the School of Materials Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Mr. McLemore passed the Certified Financial Planner exam and is FINRA Series 66 licensed, as well as Georgia-licensed for Life, Accident, and Sickness Insurance. His previous experience in the financial planning field includes working as a financial advisor for AXA- Equitable and as a client services intern for GV Financial Advisors in Atlanta. Before working in the financial services area, he spent six years as a research engineer at the Georgia Tech Research Institute and eighteen years as a flight operations engineer and aircraft engineer for Delta Air Lines.
Mr. McLemore is a member of the Financial Planning Association, the Georgia State University Financial Planning Alumni Club, the engineering honor society Tau Beta Pi, and the City of Dunwoody, Georgia, Audit Committee. He lives in Dunwoody with his wife, Kathy Allen, and enjoys walking, reading, traveling, and watching Atlanta Braves baseball.
Kassi A. Hyde
Kassi A. Hyde ChFC, CDFA
Kassi Hyde serves as a Wealth Manager for the Atlanta office. She has worked in the financial services industry for over 12 years. Coming from a background of multi-family housing management for an international company, she discovered an instant love for the financial services arena and hasn’t looked back. Kassi got her start in the industry working with a nationwide firm that specialized in insurance planning and obtained her life and health insurance license. From there, she decided to shift more into comprehensive planning, by obtaining her Chartered Financial Consultant designation and focusing on financial and tax planning services with a local, family-owned firm. She also has earned her Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation, which gives her the expertise in divorce settlement analysis and planning. Kassi’s focus and passion has always been to bring investment planning together with goal-based planning as a comprehensive way to help her clients achieve their dreams in an analytical, yet heartfelt way and she is continuing that passion with United Capital.
Kassi has been involved with several different volunteer organizations, such as Midtown Assistance Center, Rainbow Village, Atlanta Community Food Bank and the Norcross Co-Op. She hopes to build on her experience with these organizations to continue to grow the firm’s involvement with the local community.
Kassi has been married to her husband, Korey, for over 9 years and has two boys, ages 7 and 4. They enjoy traveling, canoeing and biking. When she can find the time, Kassi also loves to golf.

Client Services Manager
Suzanne McGuire brings over 20 years of financial services experience to her role as Client Services Manager for the United Capital Atlanta office. She began her career in l983 with Robinson Humphrey Co. in Atlanta. Ms. McGuire obtained her Series 7, 63, 3 and 53 and worked as a Registered Institutional Equity Trader.
Ms. McGuire left the business for a while to care for an ill parent. She returned in August 2013 as the Client Services Manager for the United Capital Atlanta office. She serves as a liaison between clients and the firm’s managing directors. She assists in planning for client meetings, maintaining client data, interfacing with our primary custodian Charles Schwab & Co., and ensuring that client’s needs are met on a personalized level.
Outside the office, Ms. McGuire enjoys golf, yoga, spin classes, cooking, selling anything on Ebay, and spending time with family and friends.
